The conservatory had a few severe roof leaks and had a few rot issues, all of which were sorted out in the summer of 2025. The flat roof area was originally lead, so this was replaced with a more versatile material. The glass cover lats were rotten and required replacing, with the complete roof being resealed with an appropriate sealant to match the colour of the conservatory. The roof vents were completely stripped and rebuilt, painted, and sealed up with New glass fitted to all 4 vents, then refitted back into the roof area, with all brass openers adjusted correctly when refitted. The side sashes were sticking and binding very badly, so all sashes were eased off accordingly. with new stainless steel screws fitted to all hinges, replacing rusted ones. New Flapper seals were fitted to all doors and opening vents to replace the worn and degraded ones, allowing for a nice water-tight seal on every rebate going forward.

Once all of the works had been completed, the structure was sanded down completely, primed using Tikkurilla Otex (tinted to Stephanotis Cream), and top-coated with Tikkurilla Unica (Stephanotis Cream) 3 coats to give a superb silky satin finish with no debris in its finished coat.
